Police have identified the victim of Toronto’s 92nd homicide of the year.
Jeffrey Parker, 35, was pronounced dead in hospital following a double stabbing Thursday afternoon at a residence on George Street in the area of Jarvis Street and Dundas Street East.
“We find ourselves in horror, in shock. Jay Tripper a.k.a Jeff Parker has left our cruel world without warning, without reason,” reads a posting on a gofundme page which has been set up help move Parker’s belongings out of the house and into storage.
Several comments on the page describe Parker as a “super talented artist” and a “beautiful soul.”
“We need a company to clean, pack and move out Kevin and jays belongings and to cover the storage costs while we grieve. Jay made some wonderful art, let us preserve it.”
A 22-year-old man, Tyler Reynolds, was located at a nearby fast food restaurant suffering from minor injuries. He was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. He is scheduled to appear in court next week.
Police say the Parker and the Reynolds were known to each other but have not specified the nature of their relationship.
