From mourning a beloved public figure to digging up gossip about a notorious celeb, Canadians started their search engines for a wide range of famous folk in 2018.

Google has revealed the celebrities Canadians looked up the most in 2018 and categorized them as those we’ve lost this year, musicians and bands and famous Canadians as well as a separate list ranking all people, irrespective of what they’re known for.

Singer Demi Lovato topped both search categories for all people and musicians and bands. Tessa Virtue, William Nylander, John Tavares and Tristan Thompson also ranked in multiple categories.
