An extensive two day search for a missing 75-year-old woman has come to a successful conclusion.
Shirley Lee had been missing since 9 p.m. Christmas Eve when she was last seen at her home in the area of Lawrence and Morningside avenues.
“This is amazing,” said Lee’s grandson Chris Chase who told CityNews his grandmother walked up to someone at the Value Village near Markham Road and Lawrence and asked for help.
“I’m really relieved. We’ve been searching for two days straight non-stop and this is the best Christmas gift I could ever get,” said Chase.
Lee was taken to a nearby hospital to be examined by doctors but according to police, initial indications are she is doing well.
