Over $2M in drugs, cash seized in GTA-wide raids

A total of 19 people are facing more than 148 drug and weapons charges following a GTA-wide drug bust.

Durham Regional Police and the RCMP, with the help of the OPP and police forces in Toronto, Peel, Kingston and Halton, seized more than $2.1-million in cash and drugs in a series of raids across the the GTA on Wednesday.

Nineteen people in 15 residences in Durham, Toronto, Peel and Kingston were arrested and investigators seized over $600,000 in cash, four firearms, five vehicles and approximately $1.5-million in drugs such as fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and heroin.
