Koch network gathers wealthy donors after 2020 Trump snub

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. — Hundreds of wealthy donors gathered by conservative billionaire Charles Koch are meeting for the first time since his powerful political network said it won’t support President Donald Trump in 2020.
It’s not clear how much the Koch network biannual meeting this weekend will address Trump directly, but some donors have publicly expressed disappointment about the Republican divide.
Koch network spokesman James Davis says it’s planning to back races for the U.S. Senate and House and state legislative seats.
The Koch brothers have lambasted Trump. They refused to back him during the 2016 election, vowed to hold him accountable to conservative priorities and have been outspoken against the White House on immigration and other issues.
Trump slammed the Kochs last year on Twitter as “a total joke in real Republican circles.”
