Victim, suspect identified in Pelham Park murder

The victim found dead in an apartment building near Pelham Park and the suspect arrested for her murder have been identified.
Police were called to 61 Pelham Park Gardens on March 13 where they found a woman with signs of trauma.
Jennyfer LaChappelle, 42, of Toronto, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 38-year-old suspect, Andrew Gerber, from Durham Region, was arrested shortly after and charged with second-degree murder.
This is the city’s 13th homicide of 2019.
