City council has voted in favour of earmarking money for a new attraction at the Toronto Zoo.
Councillors voted 16-5 in favour of giving the zoo a $5 million loan so it can install a light show.
The attraction is known as the Lumina Experience and features a walking tour through interactive light displays.
The zoo has experienced a drop in attendance and revenue in recent years. It’s hoping the show will draw in a new demographic.
