The telecom outage that forced the cancellation of almost two dozen Porter Airlines flights has been resolved.
Shortly after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, passengers took to social media to complain about long lines and trouble checking into their flights.
The airline says a telecom outage in the U.S. is affecting its website, reservation and passenger processing systems. As well, its call centre is also unable to book flights or change itineraries.
“The issue has been isolated and we are in direct contact with the telecom providers as they work toward a resolution,” the airline said in a statement on Wednesday.
Now that the major technical issues have been resolved, Porter says passengers will be rebooked on flights “as soon as possible, based on availability” and that new flight information will be sent to passengers by email.
