Some of the most active companies traded Tuesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange:

Toronto Stock Exchange (16,572.68, up 53.80 points).

Nemaska Lithium Inc. (TSX:NMX). Materials. Down 4.5 cents, or 12 per cent, to 33 cents on 7.5 million shares.

Barrick Gold Corp. (TSX:ABX). Materials. Down six cents, or 0.26 per cent, to $22.71 on 4.7 million shares.

B2Gold Corp. (TSX:BTO). Materials. Down nine cents, or 2.07 per cent, to $4.26 on 4.1 million shares.

Encana Corporation. (TSX:ECA). Energy. Up seven cents, or 1.16 per cent, to $6.11 on 3.9 million shares.

Royal Bank of Canada. (TSX:RY). Financial Services. Up 78 cents, or 0.74 per cent, to $105.50 on 3.6 million shares.

Yamana Gold Inc. (TSX:YRI). Basic Materials. Down eight cents, or 2.13 per cent, to $3.67 on 3.1 million shares.

Companies in the news:

Air Canada. (TSX:AC). Up 12 cents to $44.22. Air Canada says it is resuming daily flights between Vancouver and Delhi on Aug. 1, and Toronto and Delhi on Oct. 1. The move comes after Pakistan reopened its airspace to all traffic last week for the first time in nearly five months.

Rogers Communications Inc. (TSX:RCI.B) Down 56 cents to $69.34. Rogers Communications Inc. CEO Joe Natale says that the response to the company’s wireless plans that don’t charge overage fees has been overwhelmingly positive. The comments came as the company’s overall subscriber additions in the second quarter missed analyst estimates.
