Woman sexually assaulted after getting into vehicle she believed was ride-share

By News Staff

Toronto police have released images of a vehicle after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted by a man she believed to be her ride-share driver.

It was reported that around 3 a.m. on Sunday a 30-year-old woman ordered to be picked up from a ride-share program in the Weston Road and Lawrence Avenue East area.

The woman then got into a vehicle she believed to be the ride she ordered.

The unknown man then allegedly drove her to the Don Mills and York Mills roads area and sexually assaulted her.

Police said it’s believed man was a ride-share driver, just not the one that she had ordered.

The suspect is described as black, between 40 and 50 years of age with an average build and short black hair.

The vehicle involved is described as a black-coloured, four-door Ford Fiesta.
