Toronto police are investigating after the discovery of human remains in a garbage bin in North York.
Officers were called to Harrison Garden Boulevard and Oakburn Crescent after a building superintendent found the remains just before 9 a.m.
Few details have been released and police say the circumstances around the discovery of the remains are unknown.
Police say the cause of death is unknown and it is being treated as suspicious.
Police say further details will be released after a coroner’s investigation.
Residents inside the building say the garbage chutes inside have been taped off.
