Man charged with attempted murder in Scarborough stabbing

A 28-year-old man is facing two charges after a woman was stabbed multiple times in an apparent domestic dispute in Scarborough.
Police were called to a home on Birkdale Road in the Midland Avenue and Lawrence Avenue East area just after 11:30 a.m. on Thursday.
When they arrived, they discovered a 22-year-old woman had been stabbed multiple times. She was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition but her condition was stabilized later in the day.
The suspect, who police on the scene identified as her brother, fled the scene but was arrested around six hours later in Cornwall.
Fahad Jeebhai was in court Friday and was charged with attempted murder and weapons dangerous.
