2 injured after masked gunmen open fire at Weston and Lawrence home

A man and a woman are injured after masked gunmen opened fire at a home near Weston Road and Lawrence Avenue West overnight, say police. Tammie Sutherland with the trail of destruction, and the latest on the search for suspects.

Toronto police are searching for the gunmen after two people were shot inside a home.

It happened on Conron Place near Weston Road and Lawrence Avenue West just after 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

A 44-year-old woman was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries but is now listed in stable condition.

A 71-year-old man was shot in the leg and is expected to recover.

Police said two masked gunmen are suspected of “firing indiscriminately into the house” from the outside.
