Section of Hwy. 400 reopens after 20-vehicle crash

The snowfall on Thursday is causing problems for drivers across the GTA, especially north of Toronto.

OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said a 20-car pileup happened in the northbound lanes of Highway 400 near Barrie.

The multi-vehicle crash occurred just after the noon hour.

Northbound lanes were closed between Highway 88 and Innisfil Beach Road, but they reopened just before 4 p.m.

There is no word on injuries.
