Man dies after being struck by vehicle at Jarvis and Gerrard

A man has died after being struck by a vehicle in the Jarvis and Gerrard streets area in a hit-and-run on Saturday evening.
Police responded to a call for a collision in the area just before 11 p.m.
He was taken to a trauma centre in critical condition and was pronounced dead shortly after.
He has not been identified, but police say he was 65.
Toronto police Traffic Services say the driver involved did not remain on the scene. Investigators say information will be released on the suspect and vehicle when more is known.
Witnesses are asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
