Weddings & funerals in Ontario with more than 50 people in private halls & funeral homes can go ahead

CLARIFICATION: Earlier, the Ontario Ministry of Health spokesperson told 680 NEWS the ban of gatherings of more than 50 included weddings and funerals in Ontario. However, now the ministry says private banquet halls and funeral homes are exempt from the attendance limit.
It the events have more than 50 people are in public spaces, the attendance limit still applies.
Earlier on Tuesday, Doug Ford announced Ontario’s state of emergency, which includes a ban on public events of more than 50 people.
