Ontario confirms 379 new cases of coronavirus, 21 more deaths

Ontario confirmed 379 new cases of novel coronavirus on Tuesday, marking an 8.7 per cent increase in total cases over Monday.
The latest update includes 21 new deaths, bringing the total to 153.
There are now 4,726 confirmed cases in the province.
Resolved cases continue to climb, jumping 38.1 per cent, to 1,802.
There are now 614 people in Ontario hospitalized with the virus, with 233 of them in intensive care and 187 of those people on ventilators.
At least 51 long-term care homes in Ontario have one or more cases, and there have been at least 69 deaths in those institutions.
More than 500 health-care workers in the province have tested positive, representing about 11 per cent of all of the confirmed cases in Ontario.
