Woman wanted for allegedly spitting, wiping saliva on ATM

Toronto police are asking for the public’s help identifying a woman who allegedly spit and wiped her saliva on an ATM.

Officers were called to a Scotiabank in the Pape and Cosburn Avenues area on Thursday, just after 9:30 a.m.

It was reported a woman entered the bank around 5:30 a.m. Once inside, she allegedly began spitting, coughing and wiping her saliva on the ATM and the surrounding area.

She left five minutes later.

Staff at the bank discovered the incident at 9 a.m.

She is described as having dark hair in a bun, wearing silver hoop earrings, a brown coat with a black shirt, blue jeans, black shoes and she was carrying a blue bag.

Security camera images of the woman have been released.

Toronto police advised anyone who used the ATM at 1002 Pape Avenue between the hours of 5:30 to 9 a.m. to contact Telehealth Ontario or your family doctor.

Anyone with information about the identity of the woman is asked to contact police.
