Man, 21, arrested in hit-and-run that killed 16-year-old girl in Brampton

Peel police have arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with a hit-and-run that killed a 16-year-old girl in Brampton back in January.
On Jan. 5, a motorist found a female pedestrian laying in the eastbound lanes of Queen Street, east of Cherrycrest Drive and called emergency services just before 12:30 a.m.
The girl was suffering from life-threatening injuries and was taken to a trauma centre. She later died of her injuries.
The victim was identified as Dianna Manan of Toronto.
Following a lengthy investigation, police arrested Adhinath Sankar of Vaughan on Thursday
He was charged with failure to remain causing death and was held for a bail hearing on Friday.
