Man shot in Mississauga on Monday has died: police

Peel regional police say a man who was shot at a townhouse complex in Mississauga on Monday night has died.

Police were called to the Mavis Road and Huntington Ridge Drive area just after 9:30 p.m. for a report of multiple gunshots

When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound outside of a townhouse unit.

Peel paramedics rushed the victim to hospital with life-threatening injuries. He has since passed away.

The victim has been identified as Abdifatah Salah, aged 25.

Witnesses told police they saw a vehicle flee the scene. No description of the suspect or the vehicle has been released and police are asking anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact them.
