Ontario confirms 435 COVID-19 cases today

Ontario has confirmed 435 cases of COVID-19 today, an increase from the 409 cases reported yesterday.

In a tweet, Health Minister Christine Elliott said there are 131 cases in Toronto today, with 110 in Peel Region, and 45 in Ottawa.

Elliott added 64 per cent of the cases are people under the age of 40.

There were no new deaths reported, leaving the total number of deaths at 2,837.

Over 43,000 tests were completed and another 68,000 tests still under investigation.

Another 338 people have recovered from the virus. Of the 49,340 cases in Ontario, 86.2 percent are considered resolved.
