Toronto police are investigating a possible shooting incident near Christie Pits Park.

Initial reports said a man had been shot and pushed out of a vehicle near Christie Street and Barton Avenue at around 5:50 p.m., police said.

Toronto Paramedic Services said they transported a man to the hospital with what appeared to be injuries consistent with an assault, not a shooting.

The man’s injuries are minor, paramedics said.

Investigators said they are searching for three male suspects.  They were seen wearing all black clothing and fled the scene in a white SUV.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police directly. Tips can also be left anonymously with Crime Stoppers.
