Young male injured in Etobicoke shooting

One man is in hospital following a shooting in the Humber Heights neighbourhood in Etobicoke on Wednesday night.

Police were called to Scarlett Road and Scarlettwood Court around 7:30 p.m. after reports of multiple gunshots in the area.

When police arrived, they found a young male victim who had been shot. He was transported to hospital but the extent of his injuries was not disclosed.

Police say witnesses tell them a vehicle was seen fleeing the area however no further suspect descriptions have been released.
