Something you don’t see every day: Two people fighting on the shoulder of a busy highway.
Punches were thrown on the eastbound 401, east of Bayview in the express.
Three people could be seen fighting on the side of the busy highway during the busiest time of the afternoon drive — almost throwing each other into traffic.
The Ontario Provincial Police have confirmed the altercation involved “a driver from (an) earlier collision and an unknown tow operator.”

680 NEWS’ airborne traffic reporter Jordan Kerr witnessed the entire fight.
“We have a stalled car on the right shoulder… we had a tow truck on scene, we still have two on scene, a third one had pulled up, and on the side of the highway, they grappled each other, punched each other, almost threw each other into traffic — luckily they didn’t,” Kerr said.
Some other people intervened, and it doesn’t appear anyone was seriously injured.

OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt says police received a call for a two-vehicle crash on the 401 eastbound express at Leslie. One vehicle needed a tow, the other vehicle was drivable.
Schmidt says a few minutes later, there were reports of two people fighting — two people wearing reflective vests fled the area before police arrived.
Police are now investigating to find out who they are.
The vehicle was subsequently towed by another tow truck at the scene.
