Dump truck driver charged after pushing car onto Gardiner: police

A dump truck driver has been charged after pushing a vehicle a lengthy distance on a major Toronto highway, police say.
Video posted to TikTok on Tuesday morning shows the truck pushing a Mini Cooper up an on-ramp and onto the elevated stretch of the Gardiner Expressway in downtown Toronto.

Toronto Police Const. Scott Matthews tweeted on Wednesday morning saying that the small car was pushed over half a kilometre and confirmed there was a driver inside the vehicle at the time of the incident.
He said the driver of the dump truck has been charged. Police have not specified the details of the charge.
