Ontario is opening up vaccine eligibility to all adults for hot spot postal codes but York Region is saying they still don’t have enough supply to support the age change.
On Monday, vaccination clinics at Canada’s Wonderland, Georgina Ice Palace and Richmond Green are closed due to a lack of vaccine supply.
York Region, which uses its own booking system says it will not be booking those between the ages of 18 and 34 in high priority communities or residents aged 50 to 59.
However, the region says these groups can make an appointment using the provincial booking system instead. The only clinic in York Region currently on the provincial booking system is Cornell Community Centre in the City of Markham.
Due to a vaccine shortage, York Region is not booking those between the ages of 18 and 34 who live in high priority communities and residents age 50-59. These groups can book through the provincial booking system soon. 2/3
