Suspect sought after ‘unprovoked assault’ in subway station, Toronto police say

Toronto police say they are searching for a man they allege is connected to an “unprovoked assault” at a downtown subway station.
Police said a 40-year-old man was on the northbound platform of Spadina station late Monday afternoon when he was allegedly assaulted by an unknown man.
Investigators said the victim fell on the subway tracks during the assault.
After the incident, the suspect was seen boarding a northbound train, police said.
It is not known why the victim was attacked, police said.
The nature of the victim’s injuries was not released by investigators.
Police said the suspect was wearing a black Ecko Unltd sweater with a white Rhino on the front and blue jeans. He was also seen with braids, was wearing headphones around his neck, had a red bag with one strap, and dark-coloured shoes.
