A special weather statement for Toronto and most of the GTA has ended.
Environment Canada said “brief” but heavy downpours are possible in Toronto, Halton-Peel, Hamilton, and York-Durham, among other regions.
680 NEWS weather specialist Denise Andreacchi says the humidity, along with a lake breeze, was fueling the active weather.
Wednesday is expected to be hot and humid once again with a slight risk for isolated storms and showers ahead of a cool-down on Thursday.
The showers and isolated thunderstorms were expected to end this evening, Environment Canada adds.
