The City of Toronto has opened an additional 10,000 COVID-19 vaccination appointments at city-run clinics for this week, between June 9 and 13.
Bookings opened Monday morning for appointments at the following clinics:
- Metro Toronto Convention Centre
- Toronto Congress Centre
- The Hangar
- Cloverdale Mall
- Mitchell Field Arena
- North Toronto Memorial Community Centre clinics.
Walk-ins are not accepted and appointments must be booked through the provincial booking portal or by calling 1-833-943-3900
First dose appointments are open to anyone 12 or over. Second dose appointments are open to anyone 70 and older as well as those who received their first shot of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine before April 18. In addition, those who got the AstraZeneca vaccine for their first dose are able to book a second dose of Pfizer or Moderna at a city-run clinic 12 weeks after the shot.
In a release, the City of Toronto said the appointments were added because of additional vaccine supply becoming available and they now have the capacity to vaccinate about 81,000 people this week.
“These 10,000 appointments are 10,000 more opportunities for people to get their first dose or for eligible residents to get their second dose,” said mayor John Tory. “The sooner we are all vaccinated, the sooner we can bring this pandemic to an end.”
The city is asking anyone with an existing appointment who is now booking an earlier one to cancel their previous slot to allow others to book it.
