A 12-year-old girl suffered minor injuries after a stabbing at a Toronto school.

Officers were called to East Haven Drive and Ridgemoore Avenue just before 4 p.m. on Tuesday for reports that a student had been stabbed.

While it’s unclear which school the girl attends, Cliffside Public School is the only one within proximity of the alleged incident.

Police say the 12-year-old was stabbed in the arm and taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police initially said a 13-year-old girl was arrested on scene, but in an update on Wednesday said she is no longer in custody.

There are no other details surrounding this incident.
