York regional police have arrested two people and are seeking a third suspect in connection to a pair of shootings in Vaughan that investigators believe are connected.
Police were first called to a scene on Bourbon Street, near Langstaff Road and Valeria Boulevard, on Monday, October 18, 2021 at around 3:40 a.m. for reports of shots fired.
When they arrived, officers located several shell casings and a vehicle with a bullet hole through the door.
“A second scene was located in a nearby plaza, in the area of Langstaff Road and Silmar Drive,” police explained in a release Thursday.
“Officers located two female victims at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot injuries.”
Police have released video of the chaotic plaza scene, which shows several people scrambling in and out of vehicles as bullets fly.
At least two people can be seen pointing and firing handguns while others run and duck behind parked cars.
