Seventeen students have the virus and one case has been confirmed among staff.
The Toronto Catholic District School Board says the first case in this outbreak was reported on Nov. 3.
Close contacts have been notified by officials at Toronto Public Health and are being asked to stay home, monitor for symptoms and get tested as the investigation into the outbreak continues.
In a tweet, TPH says “we’ll work closely with our school partners to determine when in-person learning will resume.”
Meantime, another elementary school in the Toronto Catholic District School Board remains closed due to a Covid-19 outbreak. There have been 13 cases of the virus linked to Precious Blood Catholic School — near Pharmacy Ave. and Lawrence Ave. East — in Scarborough.
The TCDSB currently has 61 active cases of COVID-19 among students and nine among staff.
