Police say all the children at a Scarborough daycare are accounted for and uninjured after an explosion that shattered the building’s windows on Thursday afternoon.
Shortly before the blast took place, there were reports of a smell of gas at the daycare centre at 4679 Kingston Road.
The force of the explosion sent shards of glass flying, resulting in minor injuries to some of the adults at the location.

TTC shelter buses were summoned, and police say the kids were being taken to a nearby location to be picked up by their parents.
Police say there were workers on the roof at the time, but it’s unclear if the blast is related to their job.
The entire plaza has been closed and the Fire Marshal has launched an investigation.
