“I just want to cry.”
“I am so over it.”
“Same crap, different day.”
Those are just a few of the reactions from COVID-weary Ontarians after the province closed restaurants and gyms, set new capacity limits on retailers, and announced extended school closures on Monday.
While some feel the latest measures are necessary to protect the health care system, many are angry, exhausted and looking for someone to blame.
Here’s some of the reaction to what one person coined the “revolving door” of restrictions.
I just want to cry. It’s so defeating. Each time we go through this. Round 1 & 2 were ok. I watch the stress of it all on my kids and on my friends. Ppl in healthcare and education. It’s so much! I don’t want to play anymore. I want to take my ball and go home now…

put the blame and anger where it really belongs.. with those that selfishly did not protect others by gathering in large groups, not wearing masks not getting vaxed. Not with schools and gov.

I am so over it. I do not see the point. The numbers go down. Then when they go up after restrictions are loosened. Then back to restrictions again. The ones who are suffering are the kids. In the end they do nothing but cause harm.

I agree with some restrictions because of the strain on our medical system-however, I think children should be in school. Schools were the safest place to be on Friday, and closed on Wednesday???? what happened??

I took the vaccine because I was told nothing would open unless we got to 65%. We are at 90% yet we are in the same place we were in two years ago. No hope in hell I’m going to keep taking that crap every 3 months just to live in hell.

Its all too depressing to be honest !! The Healthcare system needs to change it guidelines. If you didn’t get your vax you must Pay for your stay.

This is nuts. Same old thing all over again. Fed up with Doug Ford and his sidekicks. FED UP WITH COVID !! I’m done. What else is new. Open, close, just like a revolving door. Same crap different day.

To be honest, I’m really having a hard time finding the good in this decisions. For the last 2 years, most Ontarioans have done what they have been asked and yet time and time again we have been left in the dark. Small businesses have been hit hard and some won’t survive this.

So disappointed and angry like most people. After 2 yrs of this we are back to closures? We need to learn to live with covid, it’s just how it is. I’ve followed all the rules from day 1, I’m vaccinated and boosted. Covid isn’t going away how about we learn to live with it around

Honestly I don’t care anymore. I stopped paying attention when they announced the omicron variant at the start of flu season. I look at covid the same as getting hit by a bus or asteroid. If it happens it happens. I’m not living in fear of it.

Not surprised but I feel sorry for all of the restaurant and gym owners. Some will never reopen. School children are sad because they can’t be with their friends. The lonely get even lonelier and there is no end in sight.

This should have been done sooner before the numbers soared so high. If it’s not safe for schools to stay opened how is it safe for daycare where children are unmasked and teacher are holding them or cleaning their faces ?

The new restrictions seem so arbitrary. Restaurants, movie theatres, etc. are completely closed to indoor patrons, yet malls are busy with shoppers. We are assured schools are safe one week and then are completely closed a few days later.

This is all to protect Healthcare. Too bad the government didn’t do something to improve healthcare before this new variant hit us. Bill 124 is still a thing. Nurses still can’t find permanent full time with benefits and pension, jobs. This is why healthcare is in trouble.

Not surprised. The challenge is we are still in reactive mode not proactive. Waiting till last minute to close or open things just create chaos regardless.

A year into vaccinations, double, triple Jabbed and yet we are back to the same as before the jab.
I am tired of the Lies and lockdowns.
