    Toronto Police are looking for two suspects involved in a shooting at Yonge and Dundas on December 12, 2021. Police say the two tried to rob a group of people. A man was shot in the chest and taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

    Toronto police are searching for two suspects in connection with a shooting near Yonge-Dundas Square back in December.

    Police were called to Yonge Street and Dundas Street East around 2 a.m. on Dec. 12, 2021.

    Police said the two suspects were walking west on Dundas when they approached a group of people in the area and attempted to rob them.

    A fight broke out and it’s alleged one of the suspects shot a man who was in the group in the chest. He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

    The two suspects fled on foot east on Dundas.

    Police said before the shooting, the two suspects were seen at a gas station convenience store in the area.

    Investigators had initially released images of the two suspects but in an update on Wednesday, police said they have since identified one of the suspects as a young person. He cannot be identified due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

    Investigators also released a video (seen above) that shows one of the suspects armed with a firearm and the two suspects running away from the scene. Both suspects have their faces covered.
