A 47-year-old man is dead after he was struck by a TTC bus in Scarborough on Monday morning.

Police received a call just before 11 a.m. for a collision at the intersection of Finch Avenue and McCowan Road.

Police confirmed a TTC bus driver struck the pedestrian in the southbound lanes. The driver remained on the scene.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the bus was turning right from eastbound Finch to southbound McCowan when the man was hit.

The intersection of Finch and McCowan was closed for the investigation but has since reopened.
