Teen found shot near high school in Scarborough

A teenager has been rushed to hospital after being shot near Sir Wilfrid Laurier Collegiate in Scarborough. No word on suspects at this time.

A teenage boy is in hospital after a shooting near a high school in Scarborough.

Toronto police were called to the area of Guildwood Parkway and Livingston Road, near Kingston Road, just before 12:30 p.m. on Monday for reports of shooting at a bus shelter across from Sir Wilfrid Laurier C.I.

When police arrived at the scene, they found the victim suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. Police said he is between 14-16 years of age.

The school was locked down as police investigated but it has since been lifted.

There is no word on a suspect description at this point.
