How federal political party platforms plan to tackle climate change

    UP NEXT:

The BOLO program released a top 25 most wanted list in Canada as well as rewards for some of the suspects. Maleeha Sheikh finds out how the initiative works and details on the goal to catch dangerous suspects on the loose.

As part of a new top 25 most wanted list of fugitives compiled by the BOLO Program, officials have announced a reward of up to $250,000 for information that leads to the arrest of a suspect wanted in connection with the murder of a Toronto man.

During an event on Tuesday, the program outlined 25 wanted individuals accused of various serious crimes and at the top of the list is 32-year-old Abilaziz Mohamed.

Toronto police said the accused is wanted for first-degree murder in connection with the death of 43-year-old Craig MacDonald, who was fatally shot at an east-end parking lot on Oct. 13.

A statement issued by the BOLO Program said it’s believed the suspect is still in the Greater Toronto Area.

“Please look at this man’s face, know it, remember it, call in that tip,” Drema MacDonald, Craig MacDonald’s sister, said in a statement released by the program.

Nearly half of the people on the new list are connected to the Greater Toronto Area.

The BOLO Program gets its name from a common police term that means “be on the lookout” with respect to wanted individuals. The program’s mission is to “[amplify] priority wanted notices for which police services have already requested the public’s assistance.”

The rewards are handed out through Crime Stoppers and information can be submitted anonymously.
