Peel police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly spat on a Brampton transit operator and other riders in Mississauga.

Investigators allege the incident happened on May 11 at around 3:30 p.m. when a man attempted to board a Brampton bus in the Rathburn Road West and Duke of York Boulevard area, near Square One.

Police say the man “became irate” and was asked by the bus driver to exit. The man then allegedly spat on the transit operator, and it is believed his spit landed on other transit riders nearby.

Investigators are attempting to identify the man. Based on witness accounts, he is described as male, Black, in his 20s, light complexion with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black jeans, bleach blonde short hair and was carrying a black side bag.

Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators.
