Man, 50s, hospitalized after he was stabbed in Brampton

A man in his 50s is in stable condition in hospital after he was stabbed Monday afternoon in Brampton.

Peel police say the stabbing happened in the area of Glidden Road and Kennedy Road just before 1 p.m., and at the scene, a blue bike was on its side on a sidewalk.

Paramedics told CityNews the victim was taken to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.

Officers say a male suspect is in custody, however, no further details have been released.

Roads in the area were blocked off for the investigation and police said they would be reopened around 3:30 p.m.
