Passenger shot in parked car in Oakville, police searching for suspect

Halton police are searching for a suspect after someone was shot in a parked vehicle in Oakville on Monday morning.

Police say two people were sitting in a parked car in the area of Ninth Line and Dundas Street around 4 a.m. when they were approached by an unknown man.

The man allegedly became aggressive and left the area. He returned with a firearm and shot into the vehicle, hitting the passenger.

The suspect fled the scene and the passenger was taken to hospital by the driver with non-life threatening injuries.

Police describe the suspect as south Asian, 6-feet-tall, 200 lbs, with black hair.
