Motorcyclist dead following two-vehicle crash in North York

A 38-year-old man is dead following a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle in North York on Monday night.

The incident happened just around 6:15 p.m. at Sheppard Avenue West and Sentinel Road.

Police say a motorcyclist was heading west on Sheppard at Sentinel as the driver of an Audi was travelling east on Sheppard and was turning left on Sentinel. Both vehicles collided in the intersection.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead on scene. No other injuries were reported.

Sheppard Avenue was closed in both directions for the investigation but the road has since reopened.
