17-year-old boy injured in Mississauga hit-and-run

Peel police say a pedestrian has been rushed to a trauma centre after they were struck by a vehicle, the driver did not remain on the scene.

A 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after they were struck by a vehicle in Mississauga on Wednesday night.

Peel police responded to a call around 9:15 p.m. in the area of Lakeshore Road East and Hampton Crescent, just west of Cawthra Road.

The driver of the vehicle involved did not stay at the scene and there’s no suspect or vehicle description at this time.

Eastbound Lakeshore Road was closed between Hampton Crescent and Caven Street for the investigation but the roads have since reopened.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact police.
