Brampton bus driver charged with impaired after crash with students on board

A 61-year-old bus driver faces impaired driving charges after a two-vehicle crash in Brampton.

Peel police say sometime around 7 p.m. on Thursday, a bus rear-ended another vehicle on Countryside Drive, near Highway 50.

A police course tells CityNews that the bus driver blew twice the legal limit.

About 40 students and two teachers were on board at the time of the crash. No physical injuries were reported, police said.

An unidentified Brampton woman was charged with impaired driving with a blood alcohol concentration of over 80 milligrams.
