GTA gas prices have dropped 18 cents over past two days

Drivers in the GTA are experiencing more relief at the pumps on Saturday with another drop in gas prices by seven cents.

This latest dip brings the cost to fill up to 186.9 cent(s)/litre at most GTA stations after an 11 cent drop on Friday.

The last time prices were this low was back in May. The lowest price this year was in February, when it was costing drivers 161.9 cent(s)/litre at most GTA stations.

Experts say a decline in wholesale prices as well as Ontario’s gas tax cut, which came into effect on Friday, are contributing to the drop.

En-Pro predicts the price will hold for the rest of the weekend and any changes would come on Monday.
