Man in critical condition after suspected hit and run on St. Clair West

A man is in hospital in critical condition after a suspected hit and run in Toronto’s west-end on Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred at St. Clair Avenue West and Lansdowne Avenue before 4:30 a.m.
Police arrived to find a man unconscious and suffering from serious injuries. He was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition via an emergency run.
The victim is described as a Black man in his 40s or 50s.
The driver fled the scene before officers arrived and no vehicle description has been made available.
The westbound lanes of St. Clair are closed from Lansdowne to Caledonia for the investigation.
