Brampton man arrested in attempted murder investigation: Peel police

Peel police say a second arrest has been made in an attempted murder investigation after two men were attacked in Brampton in April.

Around 12:45 a.m. on April 16, police say the two victims were leaving a business when they were attacked and assaulted by four armed men in the area of Bramtree Court and Chrysler Drive.

One victim was left with life-altering injuries and the other was treated in hospital and released.

On Saturday, police say they arrested and charged 23-year-old Manpreet Singh of Brampton with attempted murder, assault with a weapon, and assault causing bodily harm. He was held for a bail hearing that same day. Officers say they arrested 25-year-old Gurkirat Singh of Brampton on April 24.

Police say they are still looking for 25-year-old Manjot Singh of Brampton, who is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for attempted murder, assault with a weapon, and assault causing bodily harm charges.

Investigators say they are still looking for two unidentified suspects.
