A man has died after being pinned under a vehicle following a two-car crash in Scarborough.
Police say they were called to the intersection of Warden Avenue and Comstock Road just after 3 p.m. Thursday for reports of a collision.
When they arrived they discovered the force of the crash had forced one vehicle off the road, striking a male pedestrian and pinning him beneath the vehicle.
A tow truck driver who was on the scene assisted first responders with helping to free the man, who was transported to a trauma centre in critical condition.
Police later confirmed the man had died from his injuries in hospital.
It’s unclear if any injuries were suffered by the drivers of the two vehicles involved in the initial crash.
