Four charged with 1st-degree murder, including 2 teens, in fatal Scarborough shooting

Four people have been arrested and charged with first-degree murder — including two 16-year-old boys — in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in Scarborough last month.
Police received several calls for multiple shots fired at an apartment building on Lawrence Avenue East and Mossbank Drive, just east of Scarborough Golf Club Road, on the evening of June 8.
When they arrived they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds near a basketball court at the back of the building. He was eventually pronounced dead on the scene.
Investigators identified the man as 24-year-old Javonte Daley.
Police arrested two men and two teenage boys from the GTA on Wednesday. Jamar Bernard and Emmanuel Kitenge, both 19, and the two 16-year-old boys each face a first-degree murder charge.
All four appeared in court via video link on Wednesday.
