Toronto police officers say they’re looking for a 29-year-old man who is wanted for mischief endangering life after fireworks were set off inside Scotiabank Arena during a Dua Lipa concert.
In a statement released on Monday, investigators said a search warrant was executed on Saturday at a home near Jane Street and Weston Road where “a quantity of explosives were seized.”
It’s unclear what exactly was seized in the home or how officers were led to it.
Officers said they’re looking for Nam Ton in connection with the investigation. The accused was described as being five-foot-six and having an average build with collar-length, dark-coloured hair. Investigators said he might be driving in a white Honda CR-V with the licence plate CTYV 147.
It was Wednesday night when videos emerged on social media showing uncontrolled and unauthorized fireworks filling the downtown arena after Dua Lipa came on stage.

Officers previously said three people were treated at the arena for minor injuries. They also said they were working with Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment to get surveillance video.
On Thursday, Dua Lipa issued a statement through her representatives reacting to what happened.
Dua Lipa said her fans’ safety is always top of mind at her shows.
“Creating a safe and inclusive space at my shows is always my first priority, and my team and I are just as shocked and confused by the events as you all are,” the statement said.
